Routine (E)motions is comprised of two pieces of music with a very distinct shift between the two in the middle of the dance. The first half has choreography with sharp, fast angles where the dancers are disconnected from each other. The second half is when the dancers come together and perform in unison for the first time.
As an assistant lighting designer for one of the pieces in our inaugural dance concert, I assisted the lighting designer in writing a few cues and was present during tech rehearsals for notes.
